CubaPlay is owned and operated by BrainTech Systems, LLC (“we”, “our”, “the App”). We are an independent entertainment application that displays publicly available Cuban YouTube channels using the official YouTube Data API. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights available to you.

CubaPlay does not host, download, or modify any YouTube videos. All video playback uses YouTube’s official player.

1. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide

Account Information (Optional)

If you create an account, we may collect:

Name

Email address

Favorite channels

A system-generated display name used for public features

CubaPlay automatically assigns a default display name (e.g., cubaplayfan_123ab) when an account is created. This display name does not use your real name, email address, or other personal identifiers. Users may be able to customize this display name later, subject to availability.

Guest mode users do not provide any personal information.

Public Profile Information

If you choose to participate in public features such as leaderboards or community interactions, the following information may be visible to other users:

Display name

Optional profile picture (if you choose to upload one)

Real names and email addresses are never shown publicly.

Audio Content (Optional)

CubaPlay may allow users to record short audio reactions or comments within specific app features.

Audio recordings are optional

Recording only occurs when the user explicitly initiates it

Audio content may be audible to other users within the same context (e.g., a specific video or feature)

Audio recordings are not used for advertising or marketing purposes

Audio recordings may be automatically deleted after a limited period

B. Automatically Collected Data

We collect non-personal device and usage information, including:

Device model

Operating system

App version

Crash logs

Anonymous analytics

Interactions with app screens

This information helps us improve performance and fix issues.

C. YouTube API Data

We request public metadata from the YouTube Data API, such as:

Channel name & profile image

Thumbnails

Video titles

Latest uploads

Subscriber count

We do not collect or store private creator information.

Stored metadata is refreshed regularly according to YouTube API rules.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

Provide core app features (favorites, categories, public rankings)

Generate and display system-assigned display names

Enable optional community features (leaderboards, audio reactions)

Improve app functionality

Analyze usage trends

Fix bugs and performance issues

We do not sell your personal data.

3. Public Features & Visibility

If you participate in public features such as leaderboards or community interactions:

Your display name may be visible to other users

Your profile picture may be visible if you choose to upload one

Audio comments may be audible within the feature where they were recorded

You may be able to modify or remove optional public information through your account settings.

4. Advertising

CubaPlay uses third-party ad networks only on non-video screens.

We do not show ads on screens containing YouTube video playback.

Ad partners may collect:

App usage data

Approximate location

Each partner follows its own privacy policy.

5. Data Storage & Security

We use Firebase Authentication and Firestore to store account information securely.

All data is:

Encrypted in transit

Encrypted at rest

We maintain industry-standard security measures but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Request access to your stored data
